What’s up with Christmas just two days away? I wish you are done or almost done and enjoying with your shopping for Christmas. If not you still got two days to do just that. I got a few hours left to do some important work and chores before we leave to buy some food and ingredients at the grocery as well as buy some stuff for Christmas and attend the last Christmas novena mass later this evening.

I wish I could really do serious shopping for Christmas. I have been checking out this white furniture like the drawer chest or that small or white drawer bedside chest that I wanted for our little boy’s bedroom which I wish is on sale from the White Company, a seller of luxury bed linen, bedding and quality home accessories. I have a few other things for our home that I wish to shop this Christmas. I find it convenient that these days you can do your shopping online with them for Christmas and pay easy and conveniently through Paypal.

Got to rush out now. So happy shopping for Christmas!

Would you agree if Twitter Places Ads or Promoted Tweets to Your Timeline?

According to what I have heard around the net, Twitter just announced that they will start showing ads or promoted tweets from the brands which their users follow at the top of Twitter users’ timelines. They will be rolling out the service such as with partners Groupon, Microsoft XBox, Dell, HBO, LivingSocial, Gatorade, and Red Bull.

My personal opinion on this as a Twitter user myself, I’d prefer to have no ads. With Facebook alone having ads on the side of their page, I wish to find a way to remove them yet have not figured out yet if there is such an option.

A lot of Christians around the world may be observing Good Friday today. But Yahoo and Google pays tribute to Earth Day 2011 today April 22 as shown by these screen shots taken of their own doodles. It does help remind people of Earth Day when they see this when they go to Google as well as check emails or surf the news at Yahoo. The boy here is fascinated by the Yahoo presentation making him want to see it again and again.

So I might just have to forego with my wish of having an iPhone 4 now. The next one the iPhone 5 is set to be released this year and I even heard something about the iPhone 6. Maybe I should just wait for the iPhone 7. What do you think?

My want for an iPhone is because of the Instagram app. But the Samsung Galaxy Tab already has a Vignette app for Android that somehow satisfies my want for a similar app for now.

There are also rumors that the iPhone 5 release date is September 2011. While I also read about Noleggio Auto Modena and that the Apple iPhone 5 is expected to be released in June or July 2011 according to the latest gossip from the tech peeps and bloggers. It will have a larger 4 inch screen according to rumors too. Would you say that as to the screen size of your iPhone, bigger is better?

It actually reminded me of a local ice cream parlor selling some of their ice cream products on a buy one take one promo till the 15th. I want to head there now. I still got some time. Even the people in the house wants an ice cream sundae right now. Well it is really kind of late already so might as well have one tomorrow.

I don’t like this move Mark Zuckerberg on the plan that Facebook will give 3rd party developers and other external websites an access to your home address as well as users’ phone numbers. It is indeed one cause of concern over privacy matters. I think users’ just have to take the initiative not to post their address or phone numbers for security, privacy and confidentiality.

Facebook did this for three days in January but removed it then they are planning to launch this feature again. I want to know as a Facebook user myself why? But as I said, users can just take off their home address and phone numbers from their info at Facebook. This move is said to encourage users to be more liberal in sharing their data and online activity. But we all know it will also make users prone to various scams even your identity being stolen by scammers out there and there are lots of them we all know that.

Well why not just apply the Facebook diet just like me now. I am using Facebook less now and only when there are events to watch out for.

I have not switched to the New Twitter version and I don’t want to until the old version is still there running. I simply like the old version way better than the new one. Though I keep seeing this message on top of the every time I open Twitter on the web…

You’re using an older version of Twitter that won’t be around for much longer. Switch to New Twitter!

This message would often get me thinking if I should switch soon or just wait until Twitter takes out the old version and I would have no more choice right? In fact this message is meant by Twitter to urge their users to use the new version.

Twitter has used SurveyMonkey to ask their users (like me) why we have not switched to the new one. Most of the responses were:

I have to click an extra time to see my lists.

Sometimes I just see a white screen when I log in.

I don’t like change. Old Twitter is fine.

There’s too much stuff. It feels cluttered.

It hides my background.

I don’t like the 2 column layout.

I can’t find my Direct Messages.

I honestly liked the new version when I tried it out for a day a few months back. But I thought the old version is better and simpler so that is why until now I stuck with the old one and yes I agree I don’t like the 2 column layout and I cannot see the direct messages. I remember now, I didn’t even like the new Twitter app for Android in our Samsung Galaxy Tab yet I have no choice because there is no option to switch back to the old one unlike in the Twitter web version.

This app is said to cost you $1.99 is being banned by the Catholic church and Vatican which made a statement that:

“It is essential to understand that the rites of penance require a personal dialogue between penitents and their confessor. It cannot be replaced by a computer application,” according to Vatican spokesman Federico Lombardi.

Well we still have to wait for the coming iPad 2 to speculate what the 3rd of Apple’s tab would look like.

Well with the rumor on this iPad 3, I might pass up on the 2! Anyway, even up to now I am still wishing to have my own iPad the one with wifi. I almost had it if not that the Samsung Galaxy Tab won over because it has a cellphone plus a front and back camera feature unlike the original iPad.
